Three times now I have had to remove heavy monofilament line wrapped around my wheel suspension and/or brake lines. Any place where bank fishermen frequent is where I have had the problem. Seems that some knuckleheads insist on leaving their waste mono on the ground that unfortunately my truck tires seem to throw up into the wheelwell area. I could picture a case, under the right circumstances, where a brake line could be severed if the tire caught it just right. It is tough to brake 50-100 lb monofilament. Next time you go out to your vehicle, take a minute to check the inside of each wheel for issues.
Tight lines (but not on your truck)

Had this happen on my wife's truck. Passenger front wheel bearing growling - had mono wrapped around it, ultimately causing the failure.

I spooled myself before... dont remember exactly how it happened but I was leaving the lake and at slow speed I could hear something in back seat floorboard making a racket.. it was a full spool of 20 lb mono that had somehow tag end was hanging out back door and gotten wrapped around rear wheel.. by the time I figured out what the sound was, I was spooled.
