Looking for a different but good Bourbon in the $50 range for my brother-in-law. It is our custom that he and I exchange bottles for Christmas and I am wanting to give him something different this year. We have done this for 20 years and finding a new one has been a challenge this year.

I bought a bottle of 1792 Small Batch before the holidays and put it in the bar. I liked it and based on what is left in the bottle, so did everyone else.

Chris Stapleton has a fairly new one out called Traveler. For around $40 it's not too bad. Very smooth. I've given up my Makers Mark for this one.

I don't drink but do take a bottle of good bourbon to the Christmas Eve. Celebration we do every year for others to enjoy. Ones in the past that they really liked were TX. Buffalo Trace, Makers Mark, Gentleman Jack. This year I plan on Woodford's Reserve or Pendleton. Might try that Eagle Rare if available. Wild Turkey 101 is always a good choice.

TX Bourbon is pretty good at $40.00
But I have been ruined forever by my son in law during our granddaughters wedding. He buys Blanton's Bourbon and collects the bottle tops with the letters that spell out Blantons and has a display that he puts them in. One of the bottles of Silver Addition runs about $4,000.00. Some really awesome sipping Bourbon.

Their single barrels can be fire. Their OESO comes out at the beginning of next year. Always a buy if you can put your hands on it before the horde runs it all down.
