So I decided to make a trip to Flag Pole Hill near Lawther Dr. I fished for about 2 hours trying different spots north and south of the bridge and nothing. The water seemed lifeless, in the past I used to catch limits near the bend. Has something changed I am not aware of yet. Any input would be wonderful.

What I find the most interesting is that the 2023 gill net survey still indicates there is still a healthy and abundant white crappie population. Was wondering if anyone has any suggests on the lake side, I have pedal kayak. Thank you.

I have seen very little action on crappie there in the last 10 years. That said I have not fished it much in the last two years...

Caught a few sandies last time I was there. That was encouraging because they had all but disappeared for about 10 years there due to netting in the creek in winter.

Interested to hear others thoughts on crappie and just the lake in general.

Construction on northwest highway silted in the creek, too shallow for fish to want to run up. Generally crappie won’t cross long stretches of shallow water like the sandies will.

2cents In years past after Thanksgiving around the first Frost or a Good Flooding Rain would cause the shad migration.Once the migration took place you knew what happened next.
