If you would have slugged the old fart he'd of probably sued you. That could be what he was hoping for all along.

You were correct to walk away; the satisfaction you’d have received from squashing that bug would not have been worth the probable consequences. But you should apprise the owner of the event. If she has any sense she will take steps to preclube a recurrence. If she backs him up, at least you tried to remedy the issue, and tou can feel good about warning other potential tenants of a bad situation.

Totally get it....100%. Plus the dog that's barking isn't as likely to bite.

BUT, if there's one thing I've learned criss crossing this country it's this, there are stupid b@stards all over it (and seemingly more every year) . A certain percentage of em have basically nothing to lose. The smart@ss I'm momentarily REALLY pissed at might well be one of em. As I've got plenty to lose it's simply ain't worth it. Better to just let it go.... which, admittedly at times, is VERY hard to do...

The best thing to do was walk away. With that said, I’d said set your beer down and let’s settle this or walk away. While he was setting his beer down I would hand knocked his drunk [censored] out. Problem solved.

Thanks, Billy

You handled it appropriately. If you would've engaged that lunatic with an altered mental status you'd likely end up in a costly jackpot.

Keeping one's cool and "making sure the best outcome happens" is the best choice.

You only get aggressive if you are forced, but do it with fervor.

Should have gone to HIS trailer and told his wife what he was doing. ..... Then let HER fight Him forever.

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

You did the right thing. I would call the owner and inform them. I would want to know about threats to my business.
