At the bottom of most lakes around here is it moss and sand on the bottom or is it rocks bercause I was thinking of getting a new 10 or 12 foot cast next. Thanks for the help

Around where? It really varies from lake to lake and spot to spot. Some places on the lake, you can't throw a net @ all due to so much brush...other spots are a nice sandy bottom where it's impossible to hang up. You just have to know what's underneath the water where you're throwing. One hint...go with monofilament...it doesn't get tangled NEAR as easily on rocks and brush as nylon does.


No fish is too good for the grease.

Just want to point out, I hope that is the diameter you are talking about, because I think the maximum legal size is 7 foot radius (14 foot diameter) in Texas.

I always carry 2 nets, incase I tear 1 up! It happens now and then.

Yep----I agree with bill. Toss the best size to fit your ability. Have a backup--You catch some rocks or a carp or drum in a bait net and the net is toast
