300ZX, the insurance company found it in Mexico and the Federales had been driving it. It was blowing smoke when they brought it back.

never had a vehicle stolen and none of my friends have that I'm aware of.....wonder if proximity to Mexico causes more vehicle thefts in Texas?

Never had one stolen, but worked at a Cadillac dealer in the 80's when they would bust the steering column on those GM vehicles. I bet I fixed over a hundred columns back then!

My son also had one stolen, he was at a friends house watching football, after the game he went out and started his car but remembered he left his wallet inside. Got it and as he was walking out he saw his car driving away lol. Two 18 year old girls made it about a mile down the road and crashed head on into a corner post. karmas a bitch

1994 had my Skeeter stolen from my driveway in our brand new home in Carrollton. Came home from work and my boats gone. Asked my wife, "where's my boat", thinking maybe her brother had borrowed it. She's like, "what"? WHERE'S MY BOAT??? Reality hit me and that sinking feeling sat in. I call the cops and they show up and as he's writing the report a neighbor from down the alley drives up and she asks me, "did someone steal your boat? I thought it looked weird." She said two hispanic guys in a work van pulled up and hooked it up quick and took off, and she got the license plate. Since it was a new neighborhood and they were still building I went down to the builder's supervisor and described the van and two guys. He says, "oh sh*t. I think that's my bricklayers." He calls me the next morning and confirms the van is his bricklayers, and that they are down the street right now. I hop in the car pistol in hand, and on the way call the Carrollton cops and say, "I've got the two guys who stole my boat at this address. I've got my pistol with me. Do you want me to hold them while you get here"? Fastest response by the cops ever!! About 6 cop cars show up and the Mexicans look like roaches in a whore house running when the lights come on in the kitchen! They got the guys and told me to pick my boat up over off I-35 and N.E. 28th in F.W. I get there and they have the two handcuffed. I start screaming at them and the cop says, "wrong neighborhood pal. They KNOW where you live." Um, ok. Lost all my gear but got back my boat intact.

Never stolen but had the lock popped out of my F-150 15 years ago in an apartment parking lot. Only took some change out of the console.

I had the same Honda Accord stolen twice in the same day. It would take way too long to explain it but it did happen.

I’ve only had one vehicle stolen in 2005. Company moved me back to Corpus in for a couple of years. I had a one ton Ford Dually stolen out of the driveway. I thought it was a UPS truck I heard out front. I went outside to get in my company car to make a sales call to one of the refineries. I looked at my driveway and it was like something’s not right, then I realized my truck had been stolen.
Insurance paid off really good and with in a few weeks bought new Ram one ton.
Thanks, Billy

Stole one out of my driveway. Checked the Ring Cam. Guy was on there twice. Actually lit a cigarette before he opened the door and went to work on the steering column. The again on the cam when he backed it out almost hitting the Yukon that dropped him off%.
Found it later at an apartment complex about 10 miles away. They were using it to steal others. That’s how we found it. They were trying to steal a Yukon and the owner followed them after they were spooked.
It belonged to my wife son. Insurance totaled it. He brought it back cheap and still is driving it three years later. Big crease down the passenger side where they hit a pole of something.
I had to force the officer to take the meth pipe out of the door before they hauled it to the wrecker yard. It had a bunch of stolen stuff in it that wasn’t really very able to be sold. When my truck was stolen, I looked at the officer that came out and I said guess my truck is half way to Laredo headed across the border. He said I doubt it, it’s probably sitting at an apartment complex to be used in a robbery. He said they steal 3/4 and 1 ton trucks to jerk burglar bars off business store fronts. Officer told me the first place they look for a stolen vehicle is apartments. He said as soon as I file this report I’ll be hitting apartments looking for it. About two weeks later I saw my truck on Staples Blvd but couldn’t get turned around in traffic fast enough to follow.
Thanks, Billy
