Oscar Meyer Black Cracked Pepper Turkey Breast for sandwich is the only turkey I will prepare... may have one while fishing tomorrow, but I doubt it.. takes too long to make a sandwich.

Turkey can be okay, but it’s never good. Ham for the win.
What a maroon!

Turkey is great a couple of times a year. Turkey sandwich is the 2nd best, only behind a muffaletta.

Pump it full of Cajun butter and deep frying. Pretty decent.

We are having a fish fry on Thanksgiving! I just don’t know about you anti-Turkey guys. Turkey is good! Pumpkin pie is good! Pecan pie is good! Mashed potatoes are good! Stuffin’ is good!

Who agrees with me? We just had a change in plans for Thanksgiving and will be having a roasted chicken. Absolutely. We make Mexican food. ElPaso style tacos and enchiladas.

I like turkey. Greenberg smoked here for us. Turkey sammiches on toast the next day are the bomb…..followed by Turkey and sausage gumbo a few days later. Good stuff Maynard We used to get one from my work. Thank god they stopped. BB…..you must have done it wrong….you sure you were chewing it right?

I bought Greenbergs for years, but they have gotten so oversmoked they are not to our liking. The smoke smell and taste is just too overpowering.

I’m fine with traditional but mainly for the sides. Would never set out to roast a turkey to eat on my own. Smoked or fried, or infrared fried is good eating though.

I like turkey okay and it is a lean source of protein. I am okay with the full T-Day spread but would not want that more than a couple times per year at most. I am fine with turkey sandwiches pretty much daily. This is a correct and reasonable answer. I agree. Momma and I have standing orders for the kids. We will cook the feast, but there will be no left overs. Whatever is left is divided up and sent home with them.
Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

And clearly turkey sucks because everybody is suggesting you have to brine it, marinade it, shoot it up with stuff etc etc just to make it edible. Sounds like a bunch of nonsense on a duck hunting forum trying to convince people those things are edible.

And by the way, the margin for error is zero. You can pull it off heat 2 minutes early and poison the whole family or 2 minutes later and it's a dried up pos.
