First picture of Biscayne Bay Piano that got national attention taken by some lady and featured in National Geographic...

......

Carl Bentulan says he will then refurbish the piano and put it on tour.
"It's the most famous piano in the world," he said, noting that he paid a "couple thousand dollars" for Towboat USA to complete the job. (from the article below)

long story but I went to check it out on the last day before someone paid to $2000 to have it retrieved as there was a lot of talk that it was valuable and no one claimed it. Took the picture of this dude (singer in a band) that was about to make a video of it... he had just bummed a cigarette from me.

I was around that area fishing most of the day and watching everyone stop by to take pictures, helicopters flying by from news stations.. decided later in the day I needed more proof I was there.. PS.. notice the missing piano keys? Yep, those are mine! roflmao

Was offered 10K the only time I put them on the market... decided they might be worth more later.. still have them.

A junk piano was ditched in the ocean. Some big arse birds sat on it, someone took a picture of it and now you have piano keys worth 10k+?

This is some story...

about 5 years ago I thought I should get a mold of each of the keys made and have them made like swim baits.. all clear plastic.. then have a contest for kids and adults to see who could come up with the best art... guarantee the art crowd in Miami would go for it... then I thought why not have millions made and given to all the immigrant kids coming to America to teach them that they shouldnt litter... now I think the government should have them made and given as a free parting gifts when they get deported...

well here is a picture of the best fish I ever caught.. Biscayne Bay, Miami, bonefish, 33.5 inches to fork in tail, 18.5 inch girth, estimated between 13 and 14 lbs... will get a mount of it one of these days (they dont make a mold of bonefish that length, at least Ive never found one). Used to fish the flats at night when the clouds were low and lights from Miami would reflect back on the water.. lighting up the whole place. You would hear the bone fish coming before you would ever see them... tails swishing the water.

Threw out a half dollar size live crab, I thought it was too big but it was the only ones the bait shop had, for tarpon. Cast it out... waited until I saw bonefish coming thru where they were suppose to be on incoming tide, lifted crab up out of grass and got bit right away. Pulled up my small anchor and got dragged into the main channel before the fish wore down... tried to scoop it up quick with one hand as I was worried about sharks getting it. the thing was so much bigger than the biggest ones I had caught I was freaked out.. had to use both hands to get it into kayak.

I forget the year, but it was the summer before we had the big freeze that killed a lot of them in south florida... it was the last bonefish I ever caught.. only fished for them a couple of times in the last 15 years, and havent been back to the place I caught it ever again. One of these trips back to Florida I will go back out there at night when tides are right.

exact location where I caught it West Point

If they are worth the shipping price ….id be surprised
My guess is EVERY part of that piano is a total loss

And if THAT piano is worth money, mine in my dining room must be worth millions. Mine actually has pre-ban ivory natural keys with ebony flat keys. The keys are worth a pretty good chunk. My piano was also displayed at the Worlds Fair. My parents bought it for me when I was 6yrs old from a music professor at UNT….this was back in the 70’s.
