Washington and Filthy are gonna be good for years to come. If you don't do something quick cowboys could be 8 or 10 years from another shot at playoffs realistically

Obviously at this point the best thing they could do is lose every remaining game. Need early draft picks for 3-4 years straight to have any chance at fixing this. Or Micah and CD are going to become like Zack Martin - career losers - that's why Micah said what he said about Zack- he has no desire to live his entire career for a team that never even has a shot at winning anything. And that's where he's headed if he signs his next contract for us. I fully expect Micah to leave as soon as he can, which just makes the recovery harder because the odds of drafting an equally talented replacement are very slim.

Could have recovered much more quickly if they'd started the rebuild 2-3 years ago while they still had affordable talent. But we'd have missed some nice one-and-done opportunities to get embarrassed by rookie QBs like Love and Purdy, so now we're in for the long haul. Unless Jerry hires a real football GM, I can't see them winning 12 games again before 2030. With Jerry as GM, they'll never compete for a super bowl. His goal isn't wins - it's $.

They put 40% of their roster money into 2 players that are just slightly above average, and forgot this is a team game.

I think Jerry will use this season as a learning moment, and at year end he will sit back and reflect on his choices and where things went wrong. Next year, after some soul searching, they will go all in....

You're right - the young QBs coming into the draft this year don't look very good. That's why I'm surprised they didn't take last year seriously with 6 or so legit first round talents.

Cowboys have 2 winnable games on their schedule, giants and Carolina i have no doubts they will screw up and win those

I also don't think under the present regime Dallas has the locker room to develop a young qb so there is that. I think there is a lack of character and leadership from the players

No, it doesn't do you any good to draft someone now. They don't have a chance to succeed.

But by the time you put enough talent around him to give him a chance, you'll be winning too many games to have an early pick.
