My Dell desk top will not upgrade to Window 11. Although, I own a laptop with Windows 11, I really hate to get rid of my desk top. Just looking for feed back or recommendations if I continue to keep it.

No reason you can't keep using it. It just won't receive any updates or security upgrades. If you're careful where you web surf, you should be good.

I have been in the same boat for some time in my 2010 Imac.
I use Safari, Chrome and Firefox but none of them have new updates so I suffer from some graphics not showing up.
For some reason, MSM will not load on Safari, so I just use Firefox for those.

When it gets bad I will just buy a new computer.

Exactly! No reason to get rid of it. Use it safely and you should be good.

Yep, get a stand alone anti spyware/virus program and keep it updated and just keep using the computer. Wait until the applications which you use and want to keep updated quit working on it then update your hardware. Unless you're a gamer and need the fastest/greatest hardware, then no need to update your hardware every time Microsoft comes out with a new bloated operating system. I still think XP was the best operating system Microsoft ever came out with.

XP was the best to date. The newer Windows is just like everything else, widgets, graphic overload, apps, and bloated software.

I really like Windows 7 and have it on a computer that will never ever see the internet.

After 7; the bloat got out of control.

Suppose one option would be to run Linux.

Do not sweat that notification

Only when you cannot get browsers to work with Win10 does a real problem begin to develop

Keep up with your internet protection programs, choose your web browser/s carefully

Will MS Edge still allow MS Explorer mode in Win 11 Pro? My security camera viewing software only works using MS Explorer.
