It's that time, time for new tires. I have Endurance on the trailer now but man those tires have gotten expensive. I found that Hankook Vantra tires, the same size, same load rating and speed rating and size are about 400 to 500 dollars cheaper. I dont travel the country fishing but I do make a couple a trips a month or so about 100 miles each trip to fish different lakes. Anyone have experience with these tires that care to let me know how they do?

Take a look at Carlisle Radial HD's. Every bit as good at Endurance and a few $ cheaper.

NAMA Tires.

I have bought these the last two times for my trailer and they have been exceptional. I replaced a sorry [censored] set of Endurance with these. I bought Endurance for the last boat, they failed…twice. The new trailer came with Endurance from Skeeter. They wore badly and wore out FAST! The NAMA tires were recommended by one of our wholesalers. They sold Goodyear too. He said these NAMA’s were better. I can totally agree with him after this set and the previous set. They wore evenly and pull great. I have 225/75-15 load E tires. Spec for spec they were a good as Endurance with exception to one. The speed rating is only up to 81 mph. I routinely pull them at 75-80, non-stop, for tanks worth of fuel at a time. Every time I check them, they are cool to the touch.
I recommend them. They are about 1/2 the cost of Endurance.

I’ve had GY Endurance on two separate boat trailers without much trouble. Only tire that gave out on me was the original set that was over 10 years old at the time of the failure. MFG date is as important at the # of miles if you don’t pull the trailer all the time.

Agree with tmd11111 , my guy at discount tire recommended the Carlisle hd, said they install them on a ton of fifth wheel trailers and hardly any problems with them. Told me to keep them at or near the max psi ( 65 lbsi think) and they are good to go.

Max PSI is good advice for any trailer tire. I currently have GYs on my Champ trailer. Ran over a staple last year and blew 1. I replaced with a Carlisle thinking I might use it for a spare when it came time to replace all. Now thinking I will go Carlisle for all.
