The Indian Health Service (IHS) provides federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. If Indians have "Sovreign" nation status with their own laws, why do they need money from America?

If Indians have "Sovreign" nation status with their own laws, why do they need money from America? Programs programs programs. You been around or on a rez? It’s sad to see how the tribes treat their people to breed dependency. You really only have two classes of Indian- the middle class is non existent. They still have major cultural issues that are holding themselves back, much like the African American community- and it has nothing to do with the white man. Look at Asians and eastern Indians for example, they seem to excel without special protected status and a whole host of government programs.

To be honest I am all good with whatever they get , true reparations I guess. Are they paying the people they kicked off the land they wound up occupying? Indian tribes were warring with each other for thousands of years long before the white man evert set foot here. We don't owe them anything more than what the Germans owe me for kicking my family out of the Alsace region and forcing us to move to the Dutch Republic. We have a 2 trillion-dollar deficit. You don't give handouts when your debt is growing astronomically each year.

Didn’t take long to figure out the message. No NPR past 30 some years.
