$400 a tire.

$1600 plus valve stems.

FJB!!!

My tire guy called me one day. Said he had a customer buy a set of 33in Terra Grapplers and his wife didn't like them. I get them for $800 with less than 200 miles on them. Felt like I had won the lottery.

Sounds like that ole boy would have been better off keeping the tires and getting rid of the wife.

I worry about a guy that has to consult with the wife on things like that for sure. I can't even imagine.

Is it consulting or is it covering your arse?

I mean, spending $2100 on tires could really impact someone's household.

I didn’t “consult” with my wife, but I did tell her I was spending some money on tires. We have an agreement that if one of us is going to spend more than a few hundred dollars, we let the other know. It’s more of a courtesy. The first time we were married,(yes….we remarried after a couple years apart) I’d blow several thousand on a car to add to my collection….or $2500 on another pool cue. It was one of her things she was unhappy about. So now…I tell her. I don’t ask her. cheers

We all pay for things we can't, won't, or don't have time to do. How much we pay is determined by how valuable that service or product is to us.
