Fairly new to Conroe and have been super hesitant to go much farther north than StowAway/1097… does anyone have opinions/recommendations of a particular boat lanes chip they prefer or trust more than others?

Check Masons Sonar. He has a chip with the lanes on it.

Or just catch a ride with someone that knows that end of the lake. Not that hard to get up to FM 1375.

Conroe Bass had a map on their website.

if you can find a newer hook and line map they have coordinates for the boat lanes all the way to wildwood shores, but i believe they went out of buisness.

Other than north of Stowaway 90% of the lake is wide open after the (over zealous) stump removal operations of a few years ago. There might be a shallow spot or two, but again a good map chip can do that for you.
