Do you leave them on the back porch and wear them everyday?

I may like them. Now that I am 70 my jeans slide down since my azz moved into my belly area. Or my belly area got so big. I dunno, but I either may need suspenders or overalls.
What is a good brand name.

I wore Carhartts over my regular clothes if we had a dirty job or a big welding job for over 30 years at the power plant

I got the brown canvas material and the stiff denim. Both are Dickies brand.
The brown are really nice. So are the stiff denim. I returned the stone wash. They're way too soft and the legs look like floppy hippy pants.
Inseam is something you need to experience. Wearing overalls and your nuts are free to wobble. Because you're not snuggling up them to your nads. So if you order some. Subtract 2-4" off your regular inseam and prepare to have to roll the legs up so they don't end up dragging under your heels.
Absolutely one of the most comfortable garments you can wear. I love mine.

I wear them to work during winter, helps cut out the wind and I can just barrel through the woods and briars with no worry

Local fishing spot has a trail full of prickly pear cactus. Small sprouts that hover about 6" to a foot off the ground. Hidden by weeds. It's a mine field walking out there before sun rise.
That's when you appreciate high top boots and thick pants.
Another thing about overalls. You can carry more weight in your pockets cause the all the weight is on the shoulder straps.

I wear them during the colder months and when I know I'm gonna get filthy doing truck maintenance. Like said above, the most comfy thing you'll wear. I have 4 pair, but the most comfy ones I wear are the zip up with elastic suspenders. The elastic suspenders don't go loose no matter what activity I'm doing. The other denim ones, when you sit the straps go loose and fall off your shoulders. Also, the elastic ones have a giant zipper from crotch to chest so you can pretty much step into them, zip up and you're done for the day. Easy to get in and out of for emergency bathroom breaks. As comfy as wearing PJ's I suppose. Big BIll Men's Hickory Overalls
