I dunno if it is a balance problem or what? I don't think it is a balance problem but several times, while separating the the two male dogs, while they were fighting, I've fallen. That's not the biggest problem though, it's when I land I'm getting scrapes and cuts. Nothing deep, but Chihuahua, that stuff ends up hurting (burning?) for hours, if not until the next day.
Any of the rest of you old codgers have similar issues?

What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Years of suntanning when I was a yute has made the skin a little rough and thin where scrapes or cuts bleed easier and a little more than before. My bottom lip is the worst though and sunscreen is no longer effective enough to keep it from burning so I have to wear a face covering when fishing. Otherwise when it does get a little burned, it develops a "crack" in the middle and it takes literrally WEEKS to go away.
I can still go fishing so its no skin off my nose...(see what i did there?)..

Yep.
I am so old now that when I get up and I am all crooked over to one side…I don’t know if I have injured myself, or that’s just the way I walk now.

Yep, I'm just not as steady as I once was. I read something the other day that some of that has to do with losing strength in the body's core.
On the scrapes and stuff try smearing some Neo-Sporin or such on it. I'm a believer in the Neo ever since when I was younger I worked in A/C and sheet metal. It's some healing stuff. If not that maybe some aloe vera juice.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools

There are some balance exercises you should look into. I take a balance class at the 24 hour fitness membership I get with my medicare policy.

The older you get your skin gets thin , and you bruise and bleed easy.

The older you get your skin gets thin , and you bruise and bleed easy. Especially if your on high blood pressure meds or blood thinners.

I no longer try to put in my pants while standing up. Heck I don’t try to put on my shirt standing up very often.
Retirement best job ever.

If I can put my underwear on while standing up, it is worthy of a spot on the medal podium.

Any of the rest of you old codgers have similar issues? You might want to go get yourself a physical just to be on the safe side
