I get the kernals from walmart, put a cup in a pan and some veggy oil, cook on stove. Melt 1 stick of butter in a cast iron pan, salt to taste. Not the healthiest thing on earth but i gotta croak of something.

Didn't Blockbuster used to have a store brand they sold in their checkout lines? I remember popcorn from there smelled and tasted like movie theater popcorn.

If I ever want to score points with the wife, I'll drive by the theater and pick up a bucket to bring home so she can enjoy on the couch. There's something about that theater popcorn that just can't be replicated at home.

Don't forget the Franks or Louisiana hot sauce for the final touch.

2-3 tbsp of butter flavored cococut oil (I buy Amish brand, it comes in a gallon size and is a good deal)
0.5-1.0 tsp of Flavacol seasoning (just toss it into the oil)
.5 cup popcorn

I use a Whirlypop pot with a crank mixer, but I suppose a normal pot works too. The best popcorn I've ever had...[/quote]

This is exactly what I do. Flavacol is the magic

I just pop my own on the stovetop. Takes less than 10 minutes and all the kernels pop. I can also flavor it using a ranch flavoring that I mix with powdered jalapeno.

Any as long as it is sprinkled with Julio’s seasoning.
