I was 12 years old when I bought my first can of Copenhagen. Been using it constantly since then. I am 55 now and last THanksgiving (coming up on a year now) I threw away my can I had in my back pocket and have not picked up another. I have tried so many times in the past for so many reasons to quit and sometimes I would be able to go almost a month (never made it past a month before). This time I just wanted to stop. Had nothing to do with Health, Family, or any other reason. I still don't have a reason other than I just wanted to stop. I am really looking forward to my 1 year accomplishment and am proud of myself for doing this. This is the first time I have said anything to anyone about stopping, never even said anything to my wife it was about 2 weeks later that she noticed I didn't have a dip, My family have slowly over the last year realized that I did not have a can on me and commented, but I have never said anything to anyone about it. Guess there is a first for everything HA.
Said all that to say, Good Luck out there and you to can stop the habit cold Turkey just as soon as you want to. There is not a reason in the world that can make you stop. It has to be something that you want.

Congrats on the 1 year mark, Jody.
Trying to quit almost never works. Deciding to quit is almost always successful. The two may not sound very different, but the mentality of the two approaches are miles apart.
