I know you are tired of this but I cannot let this year go by without thanking the people responsible for making this year such a huge success. At the end I will give you the total money raised this year which set a new record for us.
Thank you to Chandlers Landing for allowing us to hold our event there. It's a great advantage to have everything in one place.
Thank you to JP Greeson and TFF and Brian Hughes and Texas Fishing and Outdoors radio show for allowing us to get the word out and help us draw 83 boats this year!
Thank you to Kay Franklin and Bryan Sherwood with the American Cancer Society for your help and dedication to our event.
Thank you to our sponsors, both businesses and individuals who contributed their hard earned money to make this happen. I will include a picture of our banner at the bottom. Please patronize these people. They deserve it!
Thank you to my brothers and sisters of the Ray Hubbard Bass Club. I start beating on them about this event about March of every year. Despite that, they volunteer both time and money and make this the special event that it is.
A few individuals from the Club who went above and beyond. The Crawford family! My right hand. Thank you! David Choate. Always there, every step of the way. Thank you! Eugene McBride and Tyler Austin. Always ready to do whatever is asked. Thank you! Gary Hughes. Brings sponsors, prizes and his trailer that has everything including the kitchen sink in it. Thank you! Jay Browne for promoting the event on social media! Thank you! My friend and partner Chris Atkinson who runs the livewwell check crew and listens to me complain 7 months out of the year. You're the best! Thank you!
Larry Ladnier! Our great Tournament Director who donates his time, equipment and expertise to us year after year. Hoping this wasn't it! Thank you!
To all of you who came out and fished with us and came to weigh in and bought shirts and drawing tickets and spent everything you brought with you! You are awesome! Thank you and please come back next year!
To my family, especially my nephew Matt Hussmann who has been here four straight years to help. Thank you for your love and generosity.
Finally to my wife Allison who helps in any way she can, and tolerates the long hours and time away that I spend on not only this event but on everything RHBC. I could NOT do this without you. Thank you
For 2024, all the above raised over
$65,000.00 for the American Cancer Society! Amazing! Now all we have to do is top it next year! See you on Sunday October 26th 2025, on Lake Ray Hubbard for our 10th Anniversary of Fish For A Cure!
