Visited Squaw Creek for the first time. I team up with Tammy_is_here and we fished what turned out to be a tough day on the water.
The reports online said fishing had really turned on but by the time we got out there, it seemed to have turned off. We talked to a local guide and he said that the water temps had dropped almost 10 degrees and the bass had moved from being deep to going up shallow and was fishing a lot tougher than the week before. We still ended up catching some good fish and we caught a lot of different things, including something we couldn’t identify take a look and tell us what you think.

We fished 4-12' of water and caught the big one in 6' of water on a dominion fishing paddle tail minnow rigged Texas Style. Senkos and paddle tail minnows seem to get us the most bites.

Is there anywhere you would recommend to stay around the lake?

Glen Rose or Granbury hotels is about your only options. Glen Rose is a lot less hectic with traffic.

There is a nice B@B only 1/2 mile from the exit to park, have stayed several times,
(1990 Texas Drive, Glen Rose, TX 76043).

Are there still lines to get in?
