Is there a reputable prop guy in the Dalls Fort Worth area than can do some work on my Mercury Bravo 1 FS? I'd like to get a few more rpm and a little better bow lift out of it.

James propeller in Farmers Branch. Don't know much about them now, but several years ago they did great work.

Steve's Custom Props, now "The Custom Prop Shop" in Yantis Tx is worth your drive.

Is it Steve Glenn that owns S2 Marine? He's the one that just installed my motor earlier this year. I also had him install a new Jackplate. He does great work there...

Stay away from B&B prop. I took a T1 25P and got it back and all 3 blades where different lengths, and my boat lost speed..

Prop guys are the modern version of wizards.
For a high performance prop, you need a guy who does high performance work. That eliminates 90% of the jokers out there.

Stick with Josh at Steves, you'll exceed expectations. Anyone else in Texas? doubtful.

Well.

I have tried 3 out of 4 on this thread now (not B&B) . I can honestly say Josh at Lake Fork is definitely the only one worth taking a prop to. James did my last prop. It looks like a million bucks, but lost a little bit of top speed and gained 400 rpm. It bangs the rev limiter now. I ordered a new prop and just installed it. I kinda needed to go up a pitch anyway…so James made me a petty summer prop in case I want to pull 4 or 5 skiers at once. McGill beat on my prop from the last motor. It looked like it too. They simply said they “checked the pitch”…..they would have done more but they “forgot” I paid them for the prop work while they screwed up my trailer. They eventually refunded the prop work money. Wish they would have refunded the trailer work too….since I wound up scrapping the trailer after they “fixed” it.
