Oct 22: Graham and Bob joined me for a day on Tawakoni. Results: 138 caught: 126 white bass, 5 legal hybrids, 2 short hybrids, and 5 catfish. We were out from 9:30 AM til 6:40 PM. Launching at Holiday, we looked there and found none, then to Wolf and found a good bunch, but after catching 3 or 4 they left. We went to White Stripe area and caught a few then to Propeller, Tallman, Sun, Cloud, and GPS and caught a good number at each spot. We then tried Anchor and Finger and caught a few at each. Stopped at the Stump and hooked a hybrid that pulled off. Last place was a different (western) part of Wolf where we caught our last two hybrids and a couple of sandies. Fish were all in 8 to 18 fow . Best lure was the #4 Mepps, but also caught some on yellow BoBlades, Panther Martins, and Kast master slab. I believe we saw Gene go by us when we were at Anchor.

Oct 24: David, pastor of VanSickle Baptist Church, and his church member Mike went out with me to catch some fish for a fish-fry. We were out from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM and caught 85: 82 white bass, 2 legal hybrids one going 25 1/2 inches, and a short striper. The majority of the whites were the big ones like on Tuesday. We caught them at Holiday, Wolf, White House, the Stump, and GPS leaving there still catching fish. Fish are in 8 to 18 fow.. We used #4 Mepps spinners. At GPS one school would not bite, so we moved over 26 yards or so to another school and they bit well. After I took David and Mike back to the ramp, I went back out and fished in the white stripe area and the Propeller catching 38 more whites, 3 legal hybrids, and 2 cats. At Propeller I bumped into (almost literally as I had my head down looking at my graph) Ken and his friend in a yellow Kenner center console. They recognized me, were very gracious for my coming upon them so close and invited me to fish beside them where they had located fish. They were from the Lake Lewisville area, and we talked about hooking up there some day. Ken, please send me a PM when you would like me to fish Lewisville with you.

That was me Dennis. I went by Anchor to see if there was anything there and I didn’t stop when I seen y’all spotlocked there. I fished from 1:30 until 5:00 and put 5 hybrids in the boat and a bunch of big sandbass.

After you got by us, we realized it was you and shouted hello, but you were too far away to hear us. Fishing Tawakoni is really good right now.

I waved as I was coming up on y’all but y’all were too busy catching to see me. I didn’t want to get in there and crowd you, so I kept moving.
