 Got a pond I stocked per permit years ago but I just found out it's illegal to add fish to it from my livewell!

I can understand that transporting fish from lake to lake may introduce disease like the bass virus, but to a private pond with no connection to any water?! Again, per a permit, I stocked panfish and bass from a fishery years ago and like to feed the bass yellow perch from my livewell caught in a local lake. Plus we got heron that drop by and eat anything they can fit into their beaks.so when I witness that, I replace fish of the same species from the same local lake.
Is it me or is the reg. total * * !
(note: thus far, the fish are doing great and spawned many times, but fish in the n.e. due to a shorter growing season take a long time to grow,.)

You might consider living in a State that believes in Freedom, not Government. Plus #1. Yes, but Upstate and more ? is a beautiful place. Just tough living.
