We'll be headed to Fork next weekend to the Berkley Big Bass event, I've never been and had some questions. - Are all the festivities at the Lake Fork Marina area? That area looked fairly tight the one time I was there, but I wanted to double-check.
- Is there a tent or setup of Berkley baits to buy on-site? Any good deals typically?
- Any tackle shops in the area that we should check out?
Anything else we should know? I've fished Fork exactly once and didn't catch much, but we're making a guys trip out of it anyhow.

There will be a massive tent with Berkley baits at LFM. If you drive around to the right side of the tackle shop there is another road and ramp that a lot of folks don't know about. Its kind of hidden by the RV park. Lake Fork Resort just up the road is also really good. Oak Ridge Marina across the lake near the dam is also good. If you don't have a good boat lanes chip in your graph to know where to run, you probably should idle a lot. Much of the areas that appear to be open water is full of stumps 1-2 feet under the surface. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/10/full-19947-244978-screenshot_2024_10_11_at_7.14.50am.png)

Lake is 2 feet low. I think it makes it "stumpier" if that is possible. Watch your trolling motor shaft and your lower unit. Fisherman's One Stop, Minnow Bucket and GoFish are other tackle stores available. LFMarina carries a good selection of Berkley baits. Have a good time! Weather should be beautiful.

Also, many of the tackle shops there carry the Lake Fork Lanes by Lance Vick. I'd suggest picking up one of those if you haven't been there before.

The lake is most dangerous when it is full. At least when its 2' low you can see a lot of them.

I just learned the lake when it was 6 feet low. Now it is a completely new lake and remains a mystery yet unsolved. Last several weeks it seems that we do a lot of boat rockin to get unstuck from stumps just below surface and almost invisible with the dingy water. Several times getting unstuck only to be stuck on another! We need some rain to continue to enjoy the new vegetation/cover for the fish.

If you like Berkley baits, go to their website and get on their email list. About once a year they have a sale on their stuff and it's usually pretty good discounts.

Question: If I'm planning to fish a Berkley Slobberknocker (chatterbait), does my trailer ALSO have to be Berkley? I assume so

Question: If I'm planning to fish a Berkley Slobberknocker (chatterbait), does my trailer ALSO have to be Berkley? I assume so Yes, All Plastics must be full-size, unaltered Pure Fishing Branded - Current and/or Former Brands under the Berkley umbrella. This includes Skirts for jigs/etc. You can use any brand Terminal Tackle.

I fished LF last week for first time in 15yrs. We caught a ton of unders in 1-4 FOW, slots and overs were hanging out 6-10 FOW. Fun times!

I’d be careful would hate to be DQ for this common practice

You can trim anything, you’re thinking too much into this It just has to be Berkley bait and trailer
