If that's your rod, you didn't miss that fish, you lost that fish. So a few foul words may be in order, then some self questioning.

It depends on how big it is. Most times it's just dang it, but I lost one over 8# in a tournament and had to apologize to my partner. He saw the fish and said no apology was needed.

assuming miss a fish means it was never on your hook.

I love when guys say "That was good one, i could tell." I'm like ok. I mean they do have like 15% chance of being right.

Yep that's my rod and yes I lost that fish...I normally laugh on the outside and cry on the inside...
