Kinda just hopped on board the boat for this one as my work week was nuts! Did prefish Friday on stuff I liked and caught fish all over but not the weight we needed! All week long Clay had the same weight every day on a handheld, just over 9 pounds. His biggest fish was a 1.94. Well both days we had the same, just over 9 pounds on a handheld on 5 fish. Tournament day I got a 2.09 in the boat early and we thought maybe that would push us up a little higher, but the fish we had to go with that one on game day were smaller than what we were catching all week. THe pressure of 100 plus teams on the lake all week was beginning to show and several fish wouldn't eat, but that's part of it! The tournament, dinner, kid fish event, and fish fry went awesome! Ton's of money raised for the Jefferson ISD. Thanks to everybody who helped out and donated to make this event happen! Probably the biggest tournament of the year IMO. We finished in 12th place with 10.24 on 5 fish. We get about a 1.10 bump from the CM scales and thats what we got here. .05 out of the money and .12 away from the hardware but had a great time! Now for the rest of the story! LOP fished lights out! What a way to show off an incredible Texas fishery! We caught our fish from 10-22 FOW most suspended 8-15 foot down on timber. Just pick an area and go fish because we caught them everywhere! I used 1/8oz Slab Syndicate hand ties in Bad Shad both days and Clay used Showtime. We both used our 11' Jenko Kevin Rogers rods. They weren't real spooky, just buried up in bois d arcs and casting to them didn't work. Tournament fish were hard to come by but the fish are had and healthy and nearly every one we caught was a 1.3 to 1.6 on our scale. I had a cancellation for Tuesday the 15th if somebody wanted to get in on the action! Thanks for all the support! Slew

It’s not as hot as it was last week but they still got it done with a table full of pigs. E Tx quality is hard to beat and the size is great right now!
