Kinda tossing an idea in my head and thinkling about booking a guide early next yr for trophy small mouth 1-2 days and stripers 1-2 days. Any guide suggestions on small mouth or striper for that matter.

Thanks

If you’re looking for trophy smallmouth I would look elsewhere. That place isn’t what it was. Just a thought. Maybe you’re dead set on DH

It’s a beautiful lake and my favorite lake I’ve ever fished. Just spent the past week on it. Tyler is telling you the truth about it, ffs has beat that place to shambles. I’ve heard a lot about Dale Hollow Dave, Bob Coan is another. Not trying to dissuade you from fishing it, I might suggest you plan a few days on Ky lake if you want to see what Dale used to be like.

Have several friends that used to make a trek out to Dale Hollow yearly, been doing it for over 15+ years. This past year, they moved their trips to 1000 Islands or St. Claire. Dale has been an absolute beating for them for the last 5 years. It needs a break and needs better fishery management.

Not to hijack the thread but if Dale Hollow falls through, I recommend St Claire.

St Claire in August for us for 12 straight years. Best fishing trip all year. Guide said the big fish were off this entire year and we still put several 5lbers in the boat.

I’m not sure late feb-march is the best time to head north grin. Keep in mind that northern tn isn’t exactly Florida either. Could be 70* or 7* degrees.
