A lot of that rain that fell into Eastern Tennessee made its way to the Tennessee River. Last Saturday the flow was over 85k/sec out of G Dam. So about 3pm my trolling motor died. If you have a Ulterra, I suggest you practice a manual stow before you have to. Also this is why I carry a long shaft phillips and hex key set in the boat, just for this reason.

I have one lithium battery that no longer holds a full charge, so I'm getting a replacement on Thursday.

Being prepared on the water can't be understated! I have a toolbag with more tools than you can imagine that I take with me every time I fish. I also have a jump box that I keep charged at all times. I've needed the jump box several times and of those, most were to help someone else out that was stranded on the water. I have a small electrical kit with wire strippers, butt connectors and terminals that has also come in handy a few times. Sorry to hear about your trolling motor and battery. Those things are seriously expensive now days. Remember when a trolling motor was a hundo and batteries were 40 bucs?..... bang

I always carry a basic set of tools and per Skeetmaster a 'jump box' as well.

One other thing to consider is having a tow rope on board in case you break down and need a tow. I was out on a big lake a couple of weeks ago, middle of the week, no one around, and ended up towing a guy who had broken down himself in the middle of nowhere. A l o o o n g tow at 8mph is a lot better than a s l o w to at 2mph for a few hours!
