when Israel strikes all of irans nuke sites, the likely reason russia gets involved is they have a large military presence all over the middle east, and will likely loose some troops and gear so to save face there will be some retaliation...russia doesn't scare Israel... and if this conflict is actually the one in prophesy;

a lot of people are going to die in the coming war, not to mention all that die in the tribulation !!!... just the people who come against Israel in the "Ezekiel War" it will take 7 months to bury their bodies - that will be peoples full time work !...we read in the Word of God in Ezekiel 39:12-15 " And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord God. And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog."... the STINK of the dead will "stop the noses" of people in the area... the world will get a taste of the Wrath of God, there will be no question of Who killed the invaders...

That’s mass, complete extinction with eternal salvation of a few.
Some embrace this sort of ultra selective purification; and extremists with political power will work to that sort of end.
