We bought a Eufy robot vacuum cleaner and got it yesterday. Now my wife and I have a new hobby: watching the robot sweep the floors. Pretty amazing technology. It mapped the whole house and goes back to the charging station where it will clean the bin into a stored bag. Even has a "hair cutting" feature that will cut any pet hair that gets wrapped around the brush. We will see how it holds up. It goes up over doorway carpets good. Easy to setup and the phone app is very cool. Shows the vacuum as it works where its location etc.
5 stars out of 5 so far. That is all, carry on with yer bad selves.

It was $299

Curious if it does a good job of avoiding random things like lamp cords or maybe a stray sock that got dropped on the floor.

I had a Eufy. Not as fancy as yours. It last a few years. Was cheap. Also have had Roomba's. Now I have a Shark. Its my favorite of them so far. They all tend to only last a few years.

Seems to work fine for that kind of stuff. You can easily edit the house map and scribble in "keep out areas". It hit my foot once and backs up and goes around it. The rotating brush is closer to the center of the robot not out front and that helps not grabbing things. There is one rotating edge brush but it is extremely soft and flexible. It is a cheap replaceable item.

We have hardwood and tile mostly and a few carpeted rooms. The carpet is a low pile berber. It does the carpet really well, you can see where the robot has been since it fluffs the pile up a little.

On one Bathroom thick lush carpet, it did not do well, so we have to pick that carpet up when it does that bathroom. Our other bathroom has the low pile throw carpets that have the sticky foam on the bottom, it works fine with that.

They won't avoid a spool of twine hanging down from a shelf. Rosie tied herself up and yanked several things off the shelf.

Kind of. Pretty sure it sent the info off to CHyna so they know where my recliner is now. Prolly took a picture of my gun safe and sent it off to Kamilla and the ATF. I dunno. Bring it is what I say. roflmao

That's a deal breaker for us. Once was more than enough. I'll spare you the pictures.

roflmao Yes, that does not look like a good scenario. We are getting old, but still not pooping on the floor.

Overall they do a great job. Rosie does the downstairs, Alice does the upstairs and Lurch does the office.

Sometimes it is hot and steamy. Silky-like, yet thick and lush to the touch.
