Steve Sarkisian was asked about being the No. 1 ranked team in the country and what that means as SEC play kicks off this weekend against Mississippi State.
"Please don't be offended by my answer: What you think of us is irrelevant, what we do on the field is what matters. That is what it is and that is the belief our team has. In this day and age of polls, polls are kind of irrelevant.
There is a 12 team College Football Playoff and to finish No. 1 at the end, you are going to have to go earn it."
