Usually when I’m sitting around the house, I’m poring over lake charts for likely looking spots to take my grandkids. Then I set waypoints on my chart. This morning I tried a new spot drifting using cut shad. I caught 15 or 16 channels and a few blues. Six of them were in the 4-5 lb range with the rest being around 2 lbs. Nothing big but they made for a good morning. I don’t catch many flatheads drifting but I hooked a good one this morning. I’m assuming it was a flathead based on the bite and ensuing (short) fight. I had him on long enough for him to turn my 19’ boat 180° before he pulled off. That’s okay, I know where he lives. 😁
