Article is a little vague, it says they're expanding coverage but it doesn't seem like the overall hours of coverage are higher? Either way, seems like viewership was up in '24.

Because of record viewership they can do it or got the go ahead. I don't really like watching unless they show the live sonar screen if theyre deep, which I think should be mandatory, but I get over it pretty quickly if they hook up. I prefer the chesty go pro veiw so I don't have to watch some dudes backside all video. Wish they could have live go pros on them. That'd be interesting.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

Dropped my cable recently and the "live mix" gets pretty boring. I was already watching a lot less but I guess I'm in the minority if viewership numbers are up! nuts

Agree 100%. Have not had cable in years now. The more hours they put on Fox the less hours I watch. If they would just get a serviceable host to direct the conversation with the anglers they bring in on the weekend to help host, the live stream would be decent to watch. As it stands right now their morning weekend live stream is terrible. Maybe that's the way they want it . After all, a better live stream is essentially competing against yourself.

As a side note, all of their ratings numbers are just absolute BS. That applies to both leagues. It's basically a made up numbers package in attempt to draw in a few non endemic sponsors. Problem is most all the non endemic sponsors know that by now.

If the numbers are made up and are BS then why does Fox continually seems to increase their contract in regards to more footage every renewal? Surely Fox is vetting the numbers before paying up. Fox would not keep renewing if numbers were not good or incressing.

They are expanding and MLF is losing sponsors and shrinking.

Fox is not gonna "re-up" unless they know what the numbers are. They are not depending on BASS for viewer numbers because they KNOW the viewer numbers themselves. If they are re-upping and coverage is expanding, you can bet your bottom dollar that viewership is up, whether you want to hear that or not.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

Because Fox doesn't depend on lil ol BASS for numbers. Fox and Bass are in the same game of selling advertising / sponsorships. Fox knows what they are getting with BASS now and I'm glad it seems to be working for both parties. As content goes, BASS provides some cheap content that has enough interest to fill a low volume time slot. Simple as that. Again, I'm happy that works out for both. But none of that changes the fact that BASS's (and MLF for that matter) viewership numbers package they use to attract sponsors is horribly inflated. Just a fact. The list of former sponsors that will attest to that is long. Same goes for their Bassmaster Classic attendance numbers and economic impact data. It's all horribly inflated. Especially their economic impact numbers.

I'm gonna have to stay with the opinion that the people at Fox know and understand their business probably better than any of us. I would think that they are not upping their content and investment for no reason.
