Headed that way next week.. been watching the reports and it should be going on... any of you fish the beaches before? Lived in south florida for many years before moving back to Texas 10 years ago.. before I fished it from a kayak, I was on the beaches or piers.. most incredible sights and can be frustrating as well.. just saw this video which can give you an idea of how tough it can be to land a tarpon from the beach.. roflmao For those planning a vacation in the future, or even now, just remember this is going on and sometimes just watching others fish is just as fun... sometimes even more fun than the folks fishing.. roflmao

Update... the fishing sucked! roflmao

I didnt plan on fishing the beach but did want to stop and check it out on way home from fishing the Everglades (bad timing there as well with hurricane Helene just having passed). Drove down US 1 and A1A for miles and miles looking for surf fishermen.. nowhere to be seen catching squat. Stopped off at one of the most popular places on the east coast.. Sebastian Inlet.. nothing. Lots of fishermen but no one catching, no bait being busted, just massive disappointment from those trying. roflmao

I always tell folks to go around October 15th as you would catch the mullet run in full swing further south.. should have taken my on advice. hammer
