Over the past fifteen years, I have agreed to go twice per requests by the children. I don't see or taste any difference between the obviously pre packaged food they reheat vs ChiliBenniganApplebees. Their rolls are a weak imitation of the delicious southern dinner roll grandma makes.
Is their popularity some TikTok phenomena, I don't get it.

It's a good place when you want steak and don't feel like being the one to cook and clean up after everyone.

This town use to be filled with restaurants. Now it's mostly the small places like chicken or hamburgers.
Relatives wanting to visit little Johnny at his first base. Texas Roadhouse is one of the nicer places to take a family. I haven't heard of any fights. Stabbings. Shooting the security guard like Subway. Or cars crashing into it. I guess you can consider it a family restaurant. At least around here.

Is their popularity some TikTok phenomena, I don't get it. They actually make most of that food- it’s not heat and eat. I think it’s a decent value, sirloin is pretty good for a sirloin.

There seating is geared for skinny people. We quit going because i don't like sitting in a cramped booth while trying to eat.

I've been to the one here 3 times since it opened at least 4-5 years ago. The first time, the food sucked, but the service was decent. The second time was ok. The third time, the food was horrible, and our original waiter just disappeared. We couldn't find the manager and the poor waitress helping tables near us looked like she would pass out if she had to wait on one more table. Haven't been back since.

Nobody has mentioned the peanut shells you can throw on the floor like you own the place.

For a chain restaurant with better southern food, I don't think Rudy's can be beat. I have noticed with younger generations, that they will tend to order three different sides, and just eat side dishes as the main meal. But, Rudy's doesn't have the variety of side dishes the yutes prefer.

Is their popularity some TikTok phenomena, I don't get it. I sure can't. The food is OK, but I prefer some locally owned restaurants myself. Better food, better service, I see the owners there, taking care of business. But the Roadhouse near us is packed, even at 10 p.m. who eats a giant steak at 10 p.m.?
