For all ya'll that have a type of denture, how bad is it? I'm in my early 30s and have an auto immune disorder that causes me to have an abnormal amount of tooth decay. My mother had full dentures in her 30s and said until she got snap-in implants for those dentures it was a miserable experience.

I got regular dentures but the bottom snap in with 2 implants,I hate them can’t eat anything like ribs or steak, I wish I had spent the money on implants, and I don’t sound the same way talking anything with an s makes it sound like I talk with a lisp

Implants are the way to go. What I'd do if I needed replacement chompers.

I'm considering snap-ins with 4 posts on top and 4 posts on bottom.

My biggest problem is it seems like the top dentures are too thick on the roof of the mouth causing my talking problem and not eating good

How's that bottom denture work with your implants?

I think I understand. My goal would be 4 implants on both arches to keep it locked into place. I don't think I can afford the all-on-4 permanent implant supported dentures, those are very expensive.

I have had mine for a year now. No post on top and two post on the bottom so I do recommend four post top and bottom. I wish I had had a much better surgeon. The (s) is part of my speech now and is a bit annoying. I know people who have issues with implants. They keep going back for adjustments as the gums keep shrinking. I was quoted $50,000+ for implants so I had to go with dentures. Eating is a bit of a challenge but it beats what I had before. All comments above are right on cue.

I have full uppers and partial lowers-
Non implant, old school dentures-
But I can and do eat anything as in corn on cob, steak, nuts ( not deeze ) -

Never regretted the old school denture decision-

For ya'll who had dentures - what age did you get them? Did you have teeth issues most of your life? Honestly, if I wasn't married with a kiddo I'd be living off grid gumming everything! roflmao
