While getting some work done at the farm yesterday, my nieces' (boyfriends son Thomas) was fishing in my one-acre stock tank. I saw them whooping and hollering and they showed me the monster catfish they caught. The fish was 18 lbs. 32 inches long and caught on a spinning reel using small bluegill for bait. Long story short, I put 100 channel cat fingerlings in there 6 years ago. I caught a few over the years but I figured the bass cleaned them out. Since then, I've been restocking it with bluegill and redear. UPDATE : Got a call from my niece today and they landed 2 more around 18" long.

Awesome! My grandkids and grandnephew used to love fishing in my tank. It was well stocked with channels, blues, copper nose bluegills, and hybrid sunfish.
