I was invited to go fishing at a house on Lake Granbury today. There were 2 of us fishing and the fishing was good. We landed about 15 crappie, 3 bluegill, and 2 catfish. The highlight of my day was this 32” mirror carp I landed on a fly rod. Mirror Carp are a variation of the common carp and are the same species (Cyprinus carpio). For records, the Texas Parks and Wildlife does not differentiate the mirror carp from the common carp. Mirror carp scale patterns vary greatly.
