The price of gas is lower than it's been in almost 4 years, I saw $2.31 the other day in New Braunfels.
Even after hurricane Francine made what was almost a direct hit on our largest offshore oil fields in Louisiana, the price of gas has barely moved.
I'm sure it's just a coincidence. hmmm

The reason gas prices at the pump are down is all about global supply and demand. Prices have dropped this year because demand has been weaker than expected, especially in the U.S. and China. The global benchmark Brent crude slid from over $90 a barrel in April to under $70 this week, reaching near three-year lows.

Regarding the "drill, baby, drill" political spin, many don't realize we're currently at historic, all-time high production levels. We're producing over 13 million barrels of oil per day. Don't expect anyone running for office to mention that most of the domestic oil we produce is exported, while a significant portion of the oil we consume is imported from countries like Canada, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia.

Why? Most of our refineries are designed to process heavy crude oil, whereas most of the oil we produce through fracking is light sweet crude. Since our refineries aren't optimized for lighter oil, we export a significant amount of it and still have to import heavier crude.

Energy is a global issue, so "drill, baby, drill" - is mostly misunderstood—especially when amplified in echo chambers. Just keeping it real.

Election cycle, happens every time.

Gas goes down
Stocks go up

If Harris is elected there will be big changes.

I know that the fundamentals don’t make sense but it happens every damn time. You can’t convince me that the administration doesn’t have more control than they let on. I would like to know how much is being pumped out of the oil reserve.

The economy is down and oil demand is down. Funny, you don't hear so much about that, huh?

This right there... We're paying on average about $12,000 more per household than we did when this Failed administration took office 3+ years ago... Dan
