My wife and I went to fish below Denison Dam today. The water quality near the dam was still bad, but it was better downstream than when I drove by weeks ago. We fished mainly with range cubes, but also tried earthworms and cut bait. We caught 14 carp, 3 buffalo, and one catfish. None of the fish were over 10 pounds. Nothing exceptional, but still a good time after spending months of remodeling our house instead of fishing.

It's always nice to get out and catch a bunch after a long time not fishing. Nice fish!

Are they no longer generating? I've been wanting to take my boys down there but always afraid they will sound the sirens right when I get unpacked laugh

They are still generating, but releases have been sporadic. You need to be ready to run up hill when the sirens sound. Most people like to fish when water is being released, but I enjoy fishing there when it is barely flowing.

Same here. I prefer not to battle tangled lines and fishing shoulder to shoulder. Thank you Sir!!
