I’ve always just bough the #10s from academy but they seem extremely stiff and cut into the senko. Does anyone make a flexible band that doesn’t put as much pressure?

I like the VMC Crossover rings and tools. Keep the bait on right angles and does a good job preserving the bait.

Look into the silicone based tubing. Someone on here posted it a while ago. You can buy it in bulk then purchase the VMC tool or some nose tool to spread it out. It's works pretty darn good. Had a kid bring it on my boat during HS season was pretty impressed with it. I still have around 300 older blank bands or I'd be buying that setup next.

Mustad makes a rubber ring that fits. I like a 3 inch zip tie.

Better on the bait it seems and do not cut in half near as often. I miss the Mr blitz wacky hooks, but the gama wacky hooks hold this well.

I posted this a couple times. Buy a foot of 3/8" ID silicone tubing and cut it into 1/4" pieces. Use the speculum to slide it onto a Senko. Now hook your hook thru the silicone tubing. You can now catch 20 fish on ONE Yam Senko before it tears in two. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/09/full-19947-241436-screenshot_2024_09_10_at_8.31.28am.png)

I like these, wrapped around twice - $0.02 each makes it hard to beat. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/09/full-6864-241463-sunci_clear_hair_bands.jpg)

Randy Blaucket says that if you use an O ring on your senko type bait the bass can see it and they will not bite it. I have never had a problem using an o ring on an senko type bait. I don't know why he has issues with it. Maybe he is not that good at throwing it.

Here's another tip for wacky rigging Senkos. Hook it cross ways for open water or light vegetation/brush. This gets the best shimmy on the fall. Hook it longways for thicker vegetation/brush. Comes thru the thick stuff better if hooked this way. Makes you more efficient because your bait is not fouled up so much. (these are not the hooks I use) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/09/full-19947-241548-screenshot_2024_09_11_at_8.22.27am.png)
