Without evidence, don't believe anything you hear without proof, and only about half of what you think your eyes just saw, and you will most likely be better off.

People are in denial because what happens does not agree with what they want to believe. Instead of accepting what is clearly in front of you, its easier for some to cast doubt on just about anything.
Once you do that you become part of the problem.

Once you do that you become part of the problem. Then look in the mirror- you constantly post [censored] which you know nothing about- when proven to be wrong you double down and disappear

There is only one source of Truth in the world. Yeah, but I can’t stand Allison just like the other 95% of people on here.

There is only one source of Truth in the world. Great, settle everything for us then. What does that source say on the Kenedy assassination? The moon landing? UFO's? Epstein? Big foot? MRNA vaccines? Ivermectin? Autism? Hunters Laptop? What is a woman? The winner of tonight's Debate? Who was D.B. Cooper? The stolen election? And of course, the big tamale... where is Jimmy Hoffa buried? Oh God knows all that stuff

For the first time, and always going forward, we have millions of loud dissenting voices that are going to make it impossible to ever trust the institutions again.
It's easy to trust institutions when they are the only show in town. That'll never be the case again. I disagree. You have to look at why the trust was lost in the first place. Let's take medicine as an example. Who would you trust more, a doctor volunteering at a clinic who isn't getting paid a cent telling you that you have a cold and to rest, take fluids and you'll be better in a few days... or a doctor employed at Pfizer Hospital telling you need a vaccine that pfizer makes? In the above scenario, following the incentive structure can lead you towards where to put your trust. The same exercise can be done with institutions to see where the incentive structures point. A lot can be learned from incentive structures and I think at least some trust in some institutions can be restored.

The dead internet theory is interesting. Basically, the premise is that AI will create so much garbage content online that eventually the internet will become useless. It's getting that way already very quickly. I give it 2 more years (if that) regardless of who wins the election before none of it can be accepted as truthful or accurate. It's probably there now and so many people believe what they are reading online. My feed is and has been constantly showing me things that are geared to cause dissent and has been for a good while. I think it's about monetized clicks and I never do anything except dissapear them. Bigbob is right though, in the end it won't matter.
