Three stops in Texas this year. Classic in Ft Worth, Fork and Sabine in back to back weeks in May. Personally, I would rather intentionally get Covid than go fish the Sabine, but they didn't ask my thoughts on it. I know the crowds are good and the city pays them well to come to town, but what an awful fishery. Especially when they can only fish Texas.

Only two non traditional stops Albemarle Sound and Ten Killer which has had an Elite on after Fort Gibson flooded that one year. They should have left the finale where they've been having it, that was the second best tournament of the year after MLF heavy hitters.

Some are being hit different times of the year than previous events there.

Concerted effort to schedule some events FFS likely won't dominate.

Come on Calvin it ain't that bad bro. The Sabine is hard to catch good fish, but it's fun to just catch fish on it.
I like that they gave them some new/relatively new venues and mixed it up with less FFS events. I DO NOT think that the FFS drove the viewership of Fork and Toledo. That was 100% due to big bass waters.

I would have liked to see Toledo in April.

The Sabine is actually one of the easiest places to catch fish in my opinion. Lots of options for all anglers regardless of whether you are after bass, perch, bream, catfish, redfish, flounder, speckled trout, etc. A very diverse fishery with backwater sloughs, main river points, marsh drains, bridge pilings, cypress stumps, laydowns, cattails. hydrilla, etc. One of the keys is to downsize your lures and fish the current/tides. I've caught more big bass on the Sabine in the last 3 years than the previous 40 years. Not sure why, but they are there. Granted, most days you don't catch a bigger bass, instead you might catch 25-30 smaller bass, but still lots of fun.

If they wanted to save them gas money they wouldn’t have then go from Tx. to the Carolinas then back to Tx.

I really enjoy the Sabine River tournaments. One 4 lb. fish can change everything. As Jimfishes stated that fishery is so fun. You can catch so many fish it's crazy. There are good fish there as far as some 5-7 lbers but are hard to catch one and if they ever come in late February or early March the weights would be higher by at least 10 lbs. It's probably not that much fun on Sunday for the leader with only a 2 lb. lead lol. But that is what makes this a great tournament venue, I doubt the leaders will ever run off from the field and it's usually tight come weigh in on Sunday.

City of Orange pays B.A.S.S. They return.
Sabine blows as a place to fish. Never heard of anyone touting it for Bass fishing before B.A.S.S. went there.

You know how bad its going to suck going from fork to the sabine? Hahahaha The sabine can be kind of fun but after a week of catching giants to go begging for a 12 incher would not be fun. Thats got to be hard to keep your head in the game

I guess it’s a good thing those veterans that understand “fish movement, habits & season patterns” have the Sabine to showcase their talents. Of course, I don’t think a veteran won last year, but they almost have too with their knowledge.

I think Christie won the last time on the Sabine a couple of years ago. Edit: I was wrong, Mosely won last time there. Christie won the year before I guess.
