I feel like they missed out on adding another rule: Scopers must provide a way for the tv audience to see their screens as they fish. Watching them stare at their screen from behind is boring….watching the action on screen is much better and can even be a learning event.

100% agree with this. I've learned a lot this year from the scope coverage. I could care less about someone throwing a spinnerbait down the bank.

They're doing this alllll wrong! Allow all the electronics they want. Limit'em to one 50ah battery with no charging on the water.

It's not what a man knows that bothers me. It's what a man "KNOWS" that ain't necessairly so that has me conserned.

Meanwhile you can get set up with LVS34 and a 12" graph that are brand new for 10% or less of $30,000.

As a fan, my $.02 is that, of the 3 leagues:
- NPFL did the most impactful thing for their business. It brings more attention and interest from a anti-FFS segment of the fishing market that should increase their exposure. If they indeed create a feeder trail they could see a big increase in interest.
- MLF did what MLF does, something kind of out of the box that could make for good TV. It is ripe for controversy tho. I'll be interesting to see how they manage the on/off button.....they don't have a great history of managing rule infractions.
- BASS made the most boring, but also the most sensical adjustments. By allowing the best to use the best, but limit it somewhat so it's not out of control and laying the ground work to more easily manage future technological advancements. They don't need to draw a lot of attention to themselves, and there's no way they can make all fans or anglers happy. But it seems the most "professional" IMO. I do think creating a schedule they did creates opportunity for diverse fishing as well.

Just my $.02, what do ya'll think?

I agree with your assessment. This whole "controversy" made me realize that professional bass fishing as a sport is lame and not something I'm at all interested in.

Totally agree with P_102. A screen within screen showing the FFS and/or 360 display would be great viewing and a learning experience for the public. I would prefer the angler be shown on the smaller screen thus allowing the FFS and /or 360 to be shown on the larger panel. Don't care about seeing their GPS data as one should find their own spots (that is part of the sport).

I've got to comment on this topic as a bystander. I'm a crappie fisherman that rarely bass fishes anymore, so I could care less what decision is made about competitive fishing. I stumbled across this guy's "Randy" youtube page by accident, and he comes across as the biggest Cry Baby I've ever heard. This guy really has it in for technology. He sounds like he is mad because technology has now opened up water that was previously considered unfishable (open water / suspended fish). He sounds like he is mad that all that experience he has that use to be a competitive advantage over the youthful crowd has now been eliminated. I don't understand why the organizers of pro-fishing don't just divide up and agree to use the most advanced technology in one league and have a second league for the traditionalists like him. All these spot-lighters aren't doing anything he couldn't do himself, right?
