New standalone eagle eye 9 comes with all in one livescope transducer.

Has a smaller angular range than the 2000 dollar priced ducer setups. But includes its own screen unit so you can upgrade other units or break them and still have livescope unaffected.

Lowrance Eagle Eye 9 at Bass Pro

Seems like livescope has always been at least a grand and more to get connections working to an existing unit. Etc.

Does this seem like the next gold rush?

If this unit shows me stacked crappie dots and exactly where the structure is, it is worth every penny to me!

Do any of y'all seasoned sonar guys have thoughts?

Some people just like catching. I like fishing.

I'd hold off buying.

With recent scope rule changes on the pro fishing side (and probably more to come) prices should come down.
