The combination of banning FFS and the number of big name older pro's that will not re-qualify in their perspective circuits in the next year or two could end up being big for the NPFL. In two to three years there may be as many recognizable names in the NPFL as BASS or BPT. Its a good business move. The opens are too tough for most to requalify and theres more cuts from MLF coming next year. This should give them a well established field. The senior tour, just kidding. If they schedule right it could be a fun trail to watch.

I think it’s a bad move by them because if you’re banning FFS you should ban all technology , all of it .

Are all the fans that complained about FFS events gonna tune in next year to support NPFL? What about the pros that complained about it? How many will go fish that league now?
I bet very little of either group follow through. Next year tgey will probably find something else to complain about. Yep, they better have the best ratings of all 3 leagues with all the crying that’s been done. But realistically, it’ll be just like that no FFS tournament they had awhile back, none of the most vocal Anti’s fished it.

One of the NPFL top anglers said 82% of the NPFL anglers would have voted to keep FFS. I guess their voice didn't matter. I don't think it should be banned personally. I would like to see schedules a little less FFS friendly though. I just think it's too risky to base decisions like that based on opinions of people not actually invested in the game. If it's not angler or sponsor driven then it could go south. Fans are finicky and when it comes time to support NPFL for making the changes the "fans" requested those same fans might go MIA... First and foremost their anglers are their customers. Make them happy first.

My thought goes to the guys who fish multiple trails like Patrick Walter's and Kyle Welcher. So they are supposed to remove the FFS transducers between tournaments. What happens if they get done with an Elite on Sunday and have to start practice Tuesday for an NPFL 8 hours away. Tough it out and deal with it I guess.
I can backlash toilet paper.

Would be way easier to remove or simply disconnect power to black box

He talks about the no FFS TAA tournament on Clark’s Hill, they have a box they can lock around the transducer that inoperates it. It’s tamper proof so they can tell if it’s you tried to take it off.

I also see an opportunity for the first entrepreneur that develops a quick disconnect adapter.
