ask yourself this " why do they not allow hunters to spotlight deer ? It's because there would be a lot fewer deer for sportsmen to hunt and would deplete the population to nothing in no time . Say what you want I have seen and so have the rest of you the depletion in our lakes already .If your a true sportsman you will admit it. You will also admit that FFS is going to deplete the stock of quality fish in our lakes and we have a hard time keeping the quality up as it is. Many of those bigger fish do not survive even though you release them asap .They lose even more of a chance if put in a live well for even a short period of time .Texas had some of the best bass fishing in the country and we are using it up very fast and so are the other states . I no many of you love FFS I can also tell you that most of you would be the ones who if it was lawful would be spot lighting deer. That is sad when people put themselves above what is right . We see it every day in this country anymore and it makes me sick to see it .My 2 cents for what it's worth.

Relating hunting to fishing for Texans is the disconnect. Most Texans hunt under deer feeders and high fences. Most Texans pay big $$$$ to kill their trophy bucks. The bucks they kill are bread like bulls and set free on a farm.

So FFS is no different when it comes to fishing. I’ll watch a Dallas Cowboy’s game and sip coffee while I take my $4,500 300 class buck.

The fss will be the new class of high fenced bucks. But Texans won’t understand because that’s what they are used to.

Why isn't it spotlighting???... You still have to spot, shoot and hit the deer... Just like seeing a bass near a laydown... You still have to cast to it and make it hit... I'd say it's a fair comparison... The spotlight allows you to see the deer... FFS allows you to see the fish... Without either FFS or the spotlight you're just wandering around aimlessly... Dan
