Nice- he can use the chute in a worst case scenario.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I think the compensation for captains is crazy - even non captains are making bank

My Dad flew planes for much of his young life and was later a flight instructor at the old Highland Park Airport.
He co-owned a plane and as boys, me and my brother would ride with him.

One of my regrets is that I never had him teach me to fly.

Good for your daughter, Moto.
We have SO many great young people these days!

Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

My SIL does plane maintenance at his local county airport.

That's mostly all I got.

I did have a neighbor that had owned several planes, two Bonanzas, one of which suffered engine failure about 20 miles out from Bermuda one Christmas Eve. He's not available as a resource as my in the pasture CPR was unsuccessful. Cool dude with great stories.

Kind of curious what it costs just to get the ppl. I got mine in 1971. If I remember right it was $900.

It's 50 hours. The first 5 hours is Sim. @ $280 per.

The rest is flying at $400 - $600 per. She's flying twice per week.

She's actually about to take off in 45 minutes or so.

That's a commitment. Good on you. From what I have seen you post she sticks with stuff. Good on you and best wishes for her.
