How the hail do mice manage to get the bait out of the Victor spring traps and not set them off? I've tried all kinds of bait including moist dog food, hard dog & cat food, crackers, bread, sunflower seed, PB chips... It's wearing me out. I set & re-bait the traps every night, next morning the bait's gone but the traps are still set.
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Smear peanut butter on the bait tray. Some people smear peanut butter on their privates. I don’t think it has anything to do with catching mice though…I’m not sure.

Try tieing some yarn on the trigger. Smear the pb good into the yarn. Might snag em!

I’ve heard of guys doing trigger jobs on mouse traps, measuring weight too trip. Some traps trip easier than others.
I put peanut butter on the trip/latch/trigger whatever it’s called. I haven’t done it but some say glue a peanut for bait, sounds like it would work.
Thanks, Billy

Tom Cat liquid rat posion is the best. Use the chicken waters to dispense. PSA keep it out of the way of pets and kids.
