3 or. 4 way partenarship, if you can find good partners, is an option.flying clubs can be good. 1 person ownership is a pain, with lack of use and all the paperwork. Insurance is expensive whether you use the plane or not.
Hadn't thought of that. Gracias.
Its a better lotion than letting a school use it.

Buying the plane is only the beginning of the costs. You also have to consider the operating cost (fuel+maintenance), insurance, and storage. Make sure you have a comprehensive understanding of each of these cost components.

I would definitely have her check into drone piloting. Thats where the future is for pilots. Lots of jobs and high paying. The days of a pilot on most aircraft are coming to an end and the actual piloting jobs will be highly competitive and allow only the cream of the crop to fly.

This is the 172 I flew as a student pilot for 2 years. My dream plane is a Vans RV6A. I love flying, however I could no longer justify it for a hobby due to the expense and time involved with staying current. Too many other hobbies to fund. Once I get older and settle down some, I’d like to continue flying, depending on the economy.
Edit: Advice given to me, and it’s great advice; fly as often as you can. 2-3 lessons a week, finish ground school early into PPL training as it will help understand things better during flight lessons (IMO).

Roughly 10% of the total cost of the plane, per year, is a good rough number.

She has her Drone License already. And a really nice drone.
My ex- BIL went through the route to become a commercial pilot. His parents paid the bill for all the schooling. He worked at Cape Gerardo (sp). Eventually he got on with American starting flying Regional Jets. I was surprised how little they make starting out. His first position was out of Puerto Rico. A couple of years in he was out of Dallas. It’s all about seniority and bidding up the ranks.
Not sure where he is flying today or what rank / standing he has.
